Grandkids are a piece of Heaven

What an amazing evening with my four precious grandchildren.  I bowled with the young men while the girls played on all the games.  We had chicken wings!  I bowled ok with my two new knees.  We had lots of laughs and took lots of pictures. They range in age from 25 to 5.  I will remember this evening for years to come!

Wow! 2015 Happy New Year!

It's a new year and I am happy to be here.  Things are moving quickly.  Mr. Rash, Natalie and I are traveling to Belize to spend time with our son, Martin and his wife.  We're excited to see them and our friends.
My two kids Monica and Patrick at my 60th birthday party.
My surprise at something.  They just kept surprising me.

We'll be back in time for me to go to the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo.  It's here January 16th through February 7th, 2015.  I went to the rodeo about two years ago.  I like to see the cowboys bulldog and the cowgirls ride around the barrels.  Have a wonderful day and a great year.  Miss Jacqui

It's a new day so I'm living today because I can't recover time.  I want to enjoy all my blessings.  I'm at work watching a movie as part of my job.  Pretty cool to enjoy a movie and get paid for it.

My adventure to Australia was awesome.  I traveled business class due to a last minute change in my flight.   It was nice but to bothersome.  Australia is amazing.  I saw the famous Ayer's Rock/Urluru.  I held a koala and koalas are not "bears".  They are heavy.   I ate a kangaroo sausage and it tasted like our turkey one only a little sweeter.

At one of my lodges, wild wallabies would come down from the hills and eat food right from your hand.  I watched but didn't feed any.

I attended an outstanding Storytelling Conference in Sydney.  They hold it every other year so the next will be in 2016.  Storyteller were there from India, Indonesia, USA, Singapore, France and Germany.  It truly was an international storytelling conference.

Closer to home.  My 2 yr old granddaughter is growing like a weed.  She has her own little attitude and grandpa has her spoiled rotten (mother and granny too).  It's been a struggle to keep her safe but well worth the struggle.

It's nice to be back on my bl

El Dia Celebration 2013

El Día de los Niños is April 30 each year.  El Día de los Niños-Celebrating Young Americans is a gift from the Latino community to all children. Many nations throughout the world, and especially within the Western hemisphere celebrate “Día de los Niños” on April 30th to honor and celebrate children—who represent the hopes and dreams of every community.

In the United States, a growing number of cities, schools, libraries, museums, churches and other community organizations are embracing this celebration by planning activities and events.

We are making an El Dia quilt at my library.  Kids are having fun tracing their hands and decorating their handprint.  I can't wait to see the finished quilt.
